The Immortal Maldini, back again!
After a nervous day for Milanisti, it has finally been eased with the simple fact of seeing our Captain Paolo Maldini's name on the team sheet for tomorrow nights game at the San Siro vs Manchester United. Maldini was a huge doubt as he suffered a knee injury against Manchester United last week Tuesday, but has managed to recover in time for the game.
Even if the Immortal Maldini doesn't step foot onto the pitch, the rossoneri will still feel his presence and his leadership as they walk out onto the field that has been Maldini's home for the past 23 years. They will take comfort that he will be there every step of the way, and when he has confidence the whole team has confidence.
Kakha Kaladze has been said to step up alongside Alessandro Nesta in the centre of defense. Kaladze said today in an interview that he was fit, and is off painkillers and is feeling fine. He is certainly up for the job, and his experience and skills is certainly required more than ever for the rossoneri.
If Kaladze is not fit, Carlo also has at his disposal Daniele Bonera who featured for 45mins in the first leg of this semi-final tie against Manchester United. Who is up to the task but lacks experience unlike Maldini and Kaladze.
Which ever one gets selected it will sure be a tough task for both the defence and the strike force of Sir Alex Ferguson's side. An intense match is certainly on the cards, and it's bound to be a game that is a classic.
Probable line up: Dida, Oddo, Nesta, Kaladze, Jankulovski, Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Seedorf, Kaka, Inzaghi
