Yepes To Join Milan In June
Milan have made their first signing for next season in the shape of Chievo defender Mario Yepes.
The Columbian will join the San Siro outfit in what is Milan's bid to find fresh, strong defenders for Milan's fading backline. The 34-year old has been a predominant figure in the gialloblu's backline; showing a strong leadership on the field.
Many clubs showed their interest in him but it was Milan that pipped the other sides to the transfer by offering him a two-year deal worth £1.6m.
A clear fans favourite in Verona he is excited to join the rossoneri as he already lives in Milan and has always wanted to play at the San Siro.
Author's Note: I remain somewhat in doubt of whether or not Yepes is the right man for the job. The rossoneri should be signing more young defenders like Thiago Silva, but it undeniable that Yepes' form of late has been good and it certainly has not gone unnoticed.
