Flamini joins the Milan family

After weeks of speculation of whether or not Arsenal's number 16, Mathieu Flamini, would join Milan or Juventus in the summer it has now become official after the French international signed a four-year contract with the World Champions today.

It has been no secret that him and coach Arsene Wenger were having disputes over his contract talks and after weeks of arguing both parties decided to end their time together at the Emirates after 5 years together.

Flamini played in both legs against Milan in the round of the last sixteen where Arsenal triumphed 2-0 at the San Siro, his impressive displays when closing out Pirlo in both legs impressed Ancelotti and co.

His arrival at Milanello is warmly welcomed as Galliani has finally brought in an able replacement for Gattuso something that Milan have lacked in recent years. His passionate, endless runs have impressed the fans it is no wonder why he has been nicknamed Flattuso.

This transfer is hopefully one in a long line of players coming into Milan this season as the rossneri look to revamp their squad.

WELCOME MATHIEU!

great signing. Milan trip to Old Trafford last year proved we had no back up for gattuso and his injuries this year should, at the least, be partly blamed on his heavy work load for club and country.

Flamini will carry some of his workload, not just by being his substitute but, by playing alongside him.

Plus Flamini has a bit more going forward than good old gennaro, so it will add versatility to our midfield as well as depth

Good man to get into your team. But I hope he is going to be playing UEFA Cup and not Champions League football next season!

hehe, Ginkers to be honest I think wwe will see Milan in the UEFA Cup next season. I just don't see Fiorentina loosing the next game especially when so much is at stake.
