Odd-one out!

Milanisti received a shock today as they saw Massimo Oddo sent on a one year loan to Bayern Munich. The former Lazio captain had been linked to Lyon in the past week but it was later denied and all possible rumours were crushed.

The move comes shortly after the arrival of the versatile defender Gianluca Zambrotta whose recent form has seen Oddo dropped to the bench, it's certainly no place to be for a player of Oddo's stature. This does, however; leave Milan with few natural right-backs as Bonera is preferred to play in the centre of defence and Simic has parted ways with Milan to join Lyon.

Massi has forever expressed his life-long passion for Milan and wished his fans a sad goodbye as he looks towards his new adventure in Germany where he will meet some familiar faces. He knows the players well after facing them on both club and national level as well having a close relationship with fellow Azzurri teammate Luca Toni.

His Bayern Munich adventure will be an exciting one as he will not only compete in the Champions League but he will face the team that wanted him, Lyon, in the group stages as well as making a quick trip home to play Luca Toni's old side, Fiorentina.

While he will embrace his German challenge Oddo is still hoping to return to playing in the San Siro and wear once again the famous red and black jersey with which he holds so close to his heart.
He will be sorely missed. Grazie Oddo!!

I was totally surprised to see Oddo leaving the club after spending less then 2 full seasons with AC MILAN. I though Zambrotta would play on the left and Oddo on the right.

I thought the exact same thing but it's clear that Ancelotti had other strange ideas. I really missed Oddo in today's game :(
