Champions League Returns: Milan Vs Spurs

One of Europe's most beautiful football competitions returns tonight seeing the Milan take on Tottenham Hotspur who will return to the San Siro for the second time this season.

Redknapp's Tottenham were grouped with Inter at the start of the competition which saw the English side top their respective group by just one point. While Allegri's side finished second in their group behind Mourinho's Real Madrid.

The two sides have only met once before in the competition back in 1971/1972 which saw Tottenham win 3-1 in the first leg followed by a 1-1 draw at the San Siro.

Both teams will be coming into tonight's game without several key players. Gareth Bale, who was the hero against Inter, did not make the trip due to a back injury, whilst the rossoneri are still struggling to recover their players.

Andrea Pirlo, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Massimo Ambrosini and Gianluca Zambrotta continue to sit on the sidelines while new signings Antonio Cassano and Mark Van Bommel have not been included in the side due to them already being cup tied.

Milan are on an unbeaten streak of13 games in all competitions and will be looking to extend that record against a tough and inform Tottenham side.
