Grazie Ragazzi

After a season of highs and lows, it's only right Milan get the thanks they deserve after turning a season that looked like a horror story at the beginning, turned out to be one that ended on a great high. As Milan won their 7th Champions league trophy in history, which saw the immortal Captain Maldini lifting up the trophy for his 5th time.

The joy of the rossoneri was felt all over the world by the Milanisti, as many would remember the way the season started, seeing it end like a real fairytale story. With all the struggles that happened earlier on many criticised the team, and a huge reshuffle was said to be made in January. However, Milan didn't sell any players in January keeping their trust in the players they had and only made four new signings.

Ronaldo joined from Real Madrid to help add some extra force in the attacking line-up, but he couldn't play in the Champions League due to his being cup-tied with Real Madrid already. Milan were lacking the fire power up front as Inzaghi was injured, Borriello suspended, Oliviera failed to impress and Gila wasn't living up to his standards. But as the former player of the year joined he brought in some extra spark to Milan's attack which saw him score 7 goals and and creating chances too.

Massimo Oddo eventually joined Milan after saying for two years he wanted to wear the shirt of the rossoneri. The world-cup winner came and gave a great contribution, providing more options in the right back position and helping Milan win their 7th Champions League trophy.

Marco Storari and Leandro Grimi also joined the Via Turati outfit, but they didn't feature much as Dida recovered from injury and the inform Marek Jankulvski and the return of Serginho saw Grimi spend most of his time on the sidelines.

Nevertheless, whether some of the players played every game or just a handfull they each played a contribution to help Milan finish 4th in Serie A and win the Champions League trophy. And each one of them deserve a special thanks, as they have now written their names into the history books.
