Injury crisis deapens for the rossoneri

Just like the start of last season, Milan have once again been hit with an injury crisis that has seen most of their first team players injured.

A new worry has struck the Via Turati outfit as Kaka has been the latest player to enter the doctor's room. The World Player of the Year was substituted at half time during Milan's game against Palermo on Sunday evening, after a heavy tackle he suffered by Mark Bresciano.

It is certain that he will miss Milan's games against Catania and Lazio this week but doubts remain over the vital Champions League tie against Arsenal. With Kaka out, his natural replacement would be Dutchman Clarence Seedorf, but the former Real Madrid player is still struggling to shake off an injury that has been hassling him for some weeks.

Should neither be fit to play all the pressure will be out on the young Frenchman Yoann Gourcuff who last night came on for Kaka and assisted in Filippo Inzaghi's last gasp goal. The ex-rennes player has been short of playing time this season and in these games he will be out to prove a point to Carlo Ancelotti.

Alessandro Nesta is also struggling with an injury that he picked up against Arsenal which saw him miss the game against Palermo on Sunday evening. While, Paolo Maldini can only play every second game leaves the rossoneri backline bare.

Nelson Dida is still out with his mysterious back injury that he sustained on the Parma bench, while Zeljko Kalac has been able to train properly but is still struggling with his finger.

And as it is a never ending story for the World Champions there are still fitness worries over Gennaro Gattuso, Pippo Inzaghi and Alexandre Pato while of course Ronaldo is out until the end of the season.

Milan are in a delicate condition at the moment and if not treated with caution this crisis could threaten their season.

Another nice goal for Pato on Wednesday night but you are right, all is not going as it should at Milan. Have to hope things all click for the clash with Arsenal...
