I would just like to extend my congratulations to Cesare Prandelli's Fiorentina for progressing through to the next round of the UEFA Cup.

La viola came into the game with a 1-0 from the first leg and it was Liverani that opened the Tuscans account at home. And later into the second half Daniele Cacia scored his first Fiorentina goal as he extended the lead while minutes later Rosenborg grabbed a consolation goal through Kone.

Fiorentina will now face Everton in the round of the last 16 where they will look to extend their unbeaten run in Europe. The Tuscans are the only Italian team to have not lost a game in Europe so far this season.

After some impressive displays they will certainly go into the game feeling confident, but they will need to work hard against an extremely tough Everton side that is flying high in the Premiership.
