Champions League returns tonight!!

We have finally reached the first knockout round of this year's Champions league campaign, as it finally resumes tonight with some fantastic ties instore.

Shalke will host 2004 Champions Porto as they both bid for the quater finals, both teams are their countries last remaining hope of glory in this year's competition and both are eager to prove their worth.

Chelsea head straight to Greece to take on surprise package Olympiacos. Last years semifinalists are hot favourites to win both legs but the greeks have already proved that they are no push overs as they have become the first greek team to qualify for the knockout rounds since the tournament has become the Champions League.

While the two most mouth watering games of Tuesday evening will see Italian Champions Inter, take on last years finalists Liverpool in what is to be a classic. Liverpool come into the game on a back of disappointing results and they will be looking to beat Inter to regain their confidence. However, the Italians wil be no walk-overs as they have a fully fit squad with Vieira their only doubt, the San Siro outfit have made it clear that the Champions League is their main objective this season.

While Inter will be playing at Anfield, their scudetto challenger Roma, will be in Rome taking on the stylish Real Madrid. The giallorossi also come into the game after a string of disappointing results however they will take comfort in the fact that Madrid also lost, 2-1 to Betis, on the weekend. And they will be looking to capitilize on Madrid's injury crisis while it lasts. This tie promises to be a game of clear beauty and class as the two samba teams will be out to make a point.

Enjoy this evenings games, and if your team plays tomorrow we will see you then!
