Sandro Nesta to lead Milan?

Following my poll I put up about a week ago, I asked- the fans- to vote on who you would think would be the best player to take over from Paolo Maldini. Now I know it was no easy task as Maldini is irreplaceable- he showed this once again with his goal against Atalanta on Sunday- but unfortunately there must be a replacement sooner or later.

The votes have been casted and the fans have voted...
ALESSANDRO NESTA as Maldini's heir to the throne. The 32-year-old has many years of jam-packed experienced and he sure has the quality to lead a World Class team like Milan.

The choice of voting in Nesta once again proves that the Milanisti are more comfortable with someone with experience, who knows how to deal with the highs and lows and pressures of the footballing world.

As much as the critics like to bring up Milan's experience as a problem, we beg to differ, as the rossoneri know how to work experience to their advantage.

But the player to be voted in as Vice captain was someone who has plenty of experience on the field but none as in how to be a Captain. Milan's Brazilian sensation Ricky Kaka tallied up the second highest amount of votes. The fans favourite has expressed many times that he would like to be a symbol for Milan but unfortunately for him, he is still a tad bit too young.

I wonder who will be the real replacement for Maldini...
