Ragazzi io presento... DAVID BECKHAM!

There are two words in football that can grab the attention of any fan and they are David Beckham. The notorious midfielder has made his name world renowned with his creative ability on the field while his good looks have never shied away the paparazzi either. David Beckham has made his mark all over the world in football yet there is still one place where he is determined to gain the respect of the fans and that is Italy but now his chance has arrived.

With his domestic season in America having already concluded Beckham looked to new places to find a place to train in the winter to keep fit for a possible international selection by England coach Fabio Capello. The choices were simple; a team like Milan have always wanted Beckham and Beckham needed a place to train. Where else than the most famous training ground in football, Milanello?

Already been given the nickname Davi, the former Real Madrid player arrived in Milan today where he was presented to the thousands of fans at the San Siro stadium. He greeted them all with a few words of Italian, "Buona Sera a tutti" while showing off the Milan jersey.

Beckham was handed the number 32 shirt after as his two previous shirt numbers have been taken by Clarence Seedorf (10) and long time Milan player Massimo Ambrosini (23), however, for just ten games Beckham won't be particularly fazed by the number.

The team now goes away for a short Christmas holiday and will return on the 28th where preparations in Dubai will take place followed by a few friendly games under the warm Dubai sun.
