The Next Coach?

Last week a poll was put on, Milan's Curva Sud, where the fans could cast their repective votes on who they would prefer to see coaching Milan next season. The options consisted of:

Mauro Tassotti:
The Rossoneri Legend has been an assistant coach to the first team for a good few years, seeing him work alongside Carlo Ancelotti and Leonardo. These years have provided him with some experience but with no formal coaching at all it remains unsure of whether or not the faithful Milanista can do it.

Marco Van Basten:
Having coached Ajax and Netherlands the Dutchman is certainly has the experience for the job. A fans favourite out of all the options of named coaches (in the poll), many Milanisti have been hoping to see the return of Van Batsen to the San Siro, but it remains a doubt that he will be returning any time soon.

Filippo Galli:
The primavera coach has had an impressive season with the Berretti and his name has been linked to the bench several times in the past few weeks. Though fans remain sceptical about whether or not he can handle the preassure of coaching the first team.

Marcello Lippi:
His World Cup triumph in 2006 has ensured him a spot among the fans favourite every time and it is no different. Despite having coached Juventus some fans still want to see him working his magic behinds the scenes at Milanello.

Though the option on the poll with the highest score was the option 'other' meaning that some Milanisti would rather prefer to be seeing another coach that was not listed in the poll. The most dominant name in the media to be linked with the Via Turati outfit is that of Massimiliano Allegri. It remains to be seen who will join the rossonero bench as the tream travel to the United States next week. Mauro Tassotti will be stepping in as temporary coach there.
