Trofeo Gamper

The final game of the pre-season is upon Milan as they are set to face an inform Barcelona side at the Camp Nou this evening, in a friendly cup match called the Gamper Trophy.

The Gamper Trophy is an annual football cup match that is hosted by Barcelona in honour of the football legend Joan Gamper. Before it used to host four teams but has since been cut down to two sides.

This is the last chance for the rossonri to build some confidence ahead of their Serie A kick-off against Lecce on Sunday evening but they will be without several key players. Amelia, Zambrotta, Flamini, Gattuso and Pato are all out due to certain injuries or fatigue; leaving an opportunity for other youngsters to shine for the new boss Massimo Allegri.

The most anticipated player will be Kevin-Prince Boateng as he is set to make his debut for the San Siro side, following his arrival from Genoa.

The game is set to kick off at 19:45 Central European time.
