Injury Crisis update

As the New Year has gone underway the players and teams are ready for new beginnings and looking to get back on track in fitness and on the field. With Milan there have been several injuries that have struck the heart of Milan as some players have been out for the good part of most of the season. The injury crisis that was unwillingly bestowed on the rossoneri looks to have finally calmed down as several players seem to be making some progress.

Daniele Bonera returned to training today for the first time since late November after suffering a calf injury. Bonera was expected to be back by the game against Roma but suffered a set back however, he looks to be back on track and should return to playing in the next few weeks or so.

Although Gattuso is still expected to be out until the end of the season, the fighting midfielder has still fighting to get back early and has impressed the doctor's remarkably. His rehabilitation is going better than expected and hope of a 100% recovery is strong.

Borriello's and Kaladze's set back's still seem to be causing them trouble and it is unsure of when they will return. Borriello will start rehabilitation in the coming week while Kaladze will have to go more assessments with Doctor Martens.

Nesta is still undergoing physiotherapy on his ongoing back problem but progress has been reported as he has returned to Italy after spending the past few months in Miami recovering. The World Cup winner remains optimistic despite his the let downs and his positive attitude will certainly see him recover well.

The fans are hoping that the players can get back to full strength soon as problems at the back are still evident, however, Milan have brought in two reinforcements to cover up in defence. Young Brazilian defender's Thiago Silva and Felipe Mattioni have joined the rossoneri as they are the Via Turati outfit's first signings for the winter.
