Derby Build Up. Lucio Suspended, Pato A Doubt
The pressure is now on as the gap for the Scudetto has been reduced from five points to just two; seeing Milan lose to a determined Palermo side whilst Pazzini's goal sent Lecce packing leaving everything to play for come derby day.
Milan's recent is undoubtedly a course for concern as the struggling side have been struggling to get their players into full fitness. With so many injuries to the squad the fit players are growing increasingly tired and becoming more prone to injury.
The match against Palermo put two more players in doubt for the derby seeing Jankulovski and Pato both being substituted. Pato's ankle injury has reduced him onto the sidelines for what is expected to be about 10 days whilst Jankulovski's knee injury seems more serious.
Should these two players miss the derby it would put Allegri in great distress as Cassano and Robinho would be the only forwards available for the Rossoneri.
Inter will also have to do without their influential defender Lucio as he will be suspended for the derby too.
The Nerazzurri are in high spirits and will certainly not back out of this Scudetto race easily as a win would see them jump their cross-city rivals in the league.
