Alessandro Nesta- Tempesta Perfetta

Sandro Nesta is another one of the rossoneri that has extended his contract until 2011, it is much to the delight of everyone at Milan and to all the fans. As they would be seeing their beloved "minister of defense" end his career in the colours of Milan.

There has been speculation of whether or not he would stay at Milan or return to wear once more the biancocelesti shirt of Lazio. But once again Milan get the better end of the deal and Nesta will stay and play out his career at Milan.

For Nesta he certainly hasn't had an easy year. He suffered an injury in last years game against Messina which saw him miss the second leg semi-final game to Barcelona. He then went to the World Cup and picked up another injury against the Czech Republic , which saw him spend the rest of the tournament out on the sidelines. He later sustained a shoulder injury that lead to poor performances as he tried to play through the pain, but was later forced to have an operation.

Sandro spent four months on the sidelines which sent him to Miami to recover and refocus. He came back in March against Roma, and played a full game. He put in a fantastic performance of one of such a high standard as he was awarded the man of the match. Nesta's return also came at a great time as he helped Milan qualify for the Champions League Final, and to help guarantee Milan a spot in the Champions League next season.

Sandro's quiet personality and his ability to get on the field and get the job done has seen him win endless admirers. He was never one for the spot light, and always just played for the passion of the game. His quiet presence on the field doesn't go unheard as he breathes confidence and serenity even in the most difficult of situations. His understanding and reading of the game has left many people in awe as he has the ability to grow that needed extra 5 inches to defend the goal
Nesta is certainly regarded as one of if not the best central defender in the world. His injuries have set him back in the race to be the best, but if his injuries have come to an end he can certainly be once again in the top 3 in the world.

We thank Nesta for showing his loyalty to Milan, and we can't wait to see him in the many more years to come. The "perfect storm" hasn't dissipated just yet, it's only just getting started.

sigh of relief! Call me selfish but I just dont want Sandro to go back to his love Lazio.

Now the next step for Tempesta Perfetta is, get back to the Azzurri and wear the Maglia Azzurra with pride!

I hope Nesta return to play with the Italian national team. He is a great defender. I wish he has a good 2007-2008 Season with AC MILAN so he can recover "la voglia di giocare" with the national team again.
