Injuries over cloud the return of Europen football...

The sqaud for the UEFA Cup game against Zurich tomorrow night has been announced and there are key players missing for the rossoneri.

Ancelotti and his men have been under fire for their poor performances at late and a lot of pressure has been put on this game to win to provide a chance in saving Ancelotti's career. However; it will not be as easy as expected. The team is low in confidence and have got to make-do with a squad missing important players.

The experienced Alessandro Nesta was not included in the 'A' list for the rossoneri due to his back injury, leaving him out of Europe until January if he recovers in time. While Paolo Maldini and Gianluca Zambrotta have been given a game off. The Milan legend is not allowed to play several consecutive games to keep his knee strong, therfore; seeing him miss out on Milan's first ever UEFA Cup game. Zambro on the other hand has been rested due to fatigue, raising questions of why Oddo was released on loan.

Another blow to t
he diavoli will see no return of the most prolific goalscorer in European history, Pippo Inzaghi. Pippo has been struggling with a muscular problem for several months and he was thought to have over come the problems only for him to be taken off in the first game of the season against Bologna.

Andrea Pirlo is the latest blow to the Via Turati outfit raising several worries as Carletto will be required to go back into the drawing to find a new player and to find a new structure for the team. The play-maker picked up a right thigh strain in training and is expected to be out for a month. Seedorf and Flamini are expected to share the load in filling in for Pirlo. Seedorf was reported to be practising his free-kicks in practise today.

The only boost is the return of Gennaro Gatt
uso, who fought his way back to help out his struggling side after breaking several bones in his wrist in a freak training ground accident with the Azzurri. Rino will no doubt provide an extra bit of passion and 'grinta' on the field and this is certainly what the rossoneri will need.

These are testing times for the San Siro boys but they have always been predominate in Europe even throughout the bad times and now it's for them to start playing.

injuries didnt matter in the end.

I guess Carlo has another month at the helm.

Was almost hoping that we lost so he would get punted.

Borriello's goal was a screamer, hopefully that happens a bit more often
