Milan back in second

It's good times for Milanisti all over the world as they witnessed their team show their true character against Lazio yesterday evening in a hard fought battle that saw them conquer 3-0 to go second, six points behind Inter.

It was the Brazilian force of Pato and Kaka that helped secure the win, however, not without the tall presence of Ambrosini and of course David Beckham, who is proving ever so decisive for the rossoneri.

The spectators had to wait until the 40th minute for the first goal of the game to arrive as Beckham latched onto a through ball that saw him perfectly place a cross to Pato who hammered it into the back of the net.

The 19-year-old has really come of age lately and has proven to be a class act. His pace, agility and ability with the ball has seen him cause endless problems with for the defenders while scoring classic goals for the diavoli.

Vice-Captain Massimo Ambrosini put in another solid performance for his beloved team as he sent Milan two goals clear, in the second half, after heading home a Beckham free-kick; the Englishman clearly earning a man-of-the-match award.

While Ricky continued to prove how much his Milan meant o him as he placed the ball in the back of that to send Milan into second as they leaped frog Juventus who lost to Cagliari on Saturday.

The race for the scudetto is still on and a possibility to win the championship is well in reach of the rossoneri, however, consistency will be strongly needed by Ancelotti's men as they hop e to catch Mourinho's boys.

It was a good display although it wasn't until the second half that the Rossoneri really came on strong. Vital to keep the pressure up this weekend so the derby is a real cracker.
