Van Basten returns to Italy!

The Uefa Cup games are well and truly underway with PSG having beaten Wolfsburg, Aston Villa and Zenit ending deadlocked, while Inzaghi's goal was cancelled out by Weder's Diego. However, more games are still to be played as Shakhtar Donesk host Tottenham while Marco Van Batsen returns to Italy to take on Fiorentina.

Prandelli's Fiorentina are out to make the most of this year's campaign after they were knocked out of the semi-finals last season by Rangers. Though it will be no easy test as the youngster's of Ajax are a stern team who give it their all when faced against big opponents.

The Viola come into the game with a string of injuries as Gianluca Commotto will be out after twisting his ankle, while winger Alberto Santana remains on the sidelines after he fractured his cruciate ligaments. Doubts still remain over Martin Jorgensen and Sergio Almiron, though both are minor doubts.

Van Basten can breath a sigh of relief as his team has managed to end their mini-crisis after winning 2-0 on the weekend against Twente, who play Marseille this evening. It was the Dutch team's first win in five games.

Ajax also come into the game with a host of injury problems as they will be missing four key midfielders but they will be looking to take comfort in the fact that they have not lost once on the road in four games.

Fiorentina have also got some favourable statistics as they are yet to loose to a Dutch side in their history.

It will no doubt be a great game this evening as the Milan Legend will be looking to make his mark against one of the best current coaches in Serie A, Prandelli.
