A Milanista World Cup: Holland, Italy, Brazil

Monday saw two sides with four Milanisti in the team take to the field, as the Netherlands took on Denmark and Italy played against Paraguay. However; only one of those four Milanisti stepped on to the field yesterday.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar saw his side net a 2-0 victory against the Danish but the rossonero never featured for Bet Van Marwijk's side. An own goal by Simone Poulsen and one for Dirk Kuyt saw the Dutch win a rather stale game in Soccer City.

In Cape Town saw the World Champions face the Paraguayans; however, Gianluca Zambrotta was the only players out of the chosen Milanisti who played. Zambro played the full 90 minutes, and played a fine match. He was one of the few players who never failed to disappoint.

Andrea Pirlo was still nursing an injury on a calf-sprain while Gennaro Gattuso has fallen out of favour with Lippi for the starting line-up but is bound to feature in the World Cup.

Later today will see Brazil take on the Republic of Korea. One of Milan's best players of the season, Thiago Silva, is set to take to the field tonight. After an impressive season the 24-year old deserved the call-up by Dunga, and he is bound to impress.
