South Americans Dominate

By now each nation participating in the World Cup have played at least two games each. As the results stand the South Americans seem to be the teams with the most impressive form; as all have either won at least one game, with the exception of Honduras, who are the only South American side yet to gain a point.

Brazil, Argentina and surprise package Chile have mustered up two wins, seeing the trio having ensured their spot into the round of the last 16. While Paraguay, Uruguay and Mexico have managed one win and one draw each.

Mexico and Uruguay face each other on Tuesday afternoon in the battle to secure their spot into the next round. Both sides only require a draw to ensure their places in the round of the last 16 while South Africa have to beat France. Both games will be played at the same times.

While Paraguay look set to top their group after their impressive displays against the World Champions, Italy and new boys Slovakia.

The South Americans have undoubtedly had the most flair and passion as they have put out impressive displays, scored spectacular goals have looked all round composed in every aspect of the game.

Many have complained about the Ja'baluni ball, however; the South Americans seem to have grasped the basics of the controversial ball putting out unstoppable displays against their components. Argentina are a prime example in their 4-1 smashing of Korea.

Maradona's men have certainly impressed thus far and are undoubtedly one of the favourites to win the World Cup.
