Inter have been crowned Winter Champions with two games still to go as they beat Milan 2-1 at the San Siro.
The nerazzurri fought their way back after falling 1-0 behind from an Andrea Pirlo free-kick on the edge of the penalty area. They later drew level after Julio Cruz slotted it past Nelson Dida whose touch could not prevent it from going in.
After the break Carlo Ancelotti brought on Emerson and Gilardino, the Brazilian being the worst substitution for the rossoneri. He was once again no where to be seen, wasted balls and made unnecessary tackles which resulted in Inter gaining a free-kick.
But it was Esteban Cambiasso that broke the hearts of the Milanisti, the Argentinian played a fantastic game and it almost seemed likely that it was to be him that would latch onto Maldini's misplaced header to drive it home past Dida. The Milan captain turning a good first half into a negative second.
For the rest of the game Milan looked out of ideas and fatigue started to settle in for the rossoneri as they went on to suffer another defeat in the league and another derby loss to Inter.
A wake-up call is needed for the rossoneri, they cannot keep on playing like badly in the league and do really well in the European tournaments. It almost looks like they have no passion or desire to win the derby and it is heartbreaking for their tifosi to see.
The Milanisti want their proud rossoneri back that will go into every game thinking it is a final, the passion and desire has gone astray, here's to hoping that Father Christmas will help them refind that magic.
Merry Christmas to all; a pity Milan didn't give us an early Christmas present.
