South Africa unite for Confederations Cup draw

The anticipation has started to ignite throughout South Africa as football fans will be eagerly awaiting to see which teams will be drawn up against each other for next years pre-World Cup tournament.

The Confederations Cup is one that has had little value placed on it; nevertheless, it still hosts World Class teams and players that will undoubtedly give the fans a show. The teams will be able to use this opportunity to learn more about the country and its unpredictable climate as well as being able to get used to the stadiums.

The draw will take place at Sandton's Convention Centre in Johannesburg later today where the coaches and representatives of each team will be there to witness their teams fate.

The teams that will take part in the tournament will be hosts South Africa, African Champions Egypt, South American Champions and defending Confederation Cup Champions Brazil, and Iraq the Champions of Asia. Two Europeans will also be apart of the tournament as Spain and Italy will take part; European Champions and World Champions respectively. The remaining two teams will be the USA who are Champions of North and Central America and the Caribbean as well as the Oceanic Champions; New Zealand.

The likes of Ricky Kaka, Fabio Cannavaro, Aaron Mokoena, Fernando Torres and many more will grace the tournament next year in what is bound to be a once in a life time event for South Africans.
