The violin has started to play for Gila.

Alberto Gilardino scored for the first time in two years in a preseason game last night. His goal came in the Trofeo Tim, which is a triangular tournament that hosted Juventus, Inter and Milan. After Inter defeated Juventus on penalties due to the game ending in a goalless draw, Milan had to play Juventus.

Gilardino managed to find the back of the net from a through ball by Gattuso that saw the move created from the defense by Bonera. This goal comes as Gila's first goal in Milan's preseason games this year and his first in the past two years too.

Gila had to undergo a knee operation just after the season had ended which saw him start preseason games later than expected, his game against Juventus was only his second game for Milan and he hasn't failed to impress. Once again his goals proving the decisive point in Milan's games.

Gila is a notoriously slow starter to the season, but his desire to improve and prove his critics wrong has sped up his goal scoring and some can start to see his confidence slowly gaining momentum again.

Between Gila and Gourcuff last night, it was certainly a night where the "G's"lead the line. With the Trofeo Berlusconi coming up, Gila can certainly favour his chances of grabbing a starting position ahead of Inzaghi and Aubameyang. The music is starting to play around the San Siro
