Derbies, Derbies everywhere!!

The sixth Serie A round will see a whole bunch of derbies taking place throughout Italy. The first is one that has been missing for a few years- due to both teams suffering from relegation- resulting in a long wait for the derby as they each missed each other while moving between Serie A and Serie B.

Derby della Mole
Juventus vs Torino
Stadio: Olimpico di Torino

This derby is highly anticipated by everyone around the world, as it always promises to be a great game fulled with passion, determination, grit, and emotion.

Last season the derby did not take place due to Juventus' involvement in the calciopoli scandal, which saw them stripped of their two titles and demoted into Serie B, while Torino pulled off a stunner and landed promotion putting off the derby for at least another year.

But this year it has finally arrived! Juventus are in Serie A and Torino managed to avoid the drop last season, for the 222nd derby to take place this weekend.

Further down the boot, one of the many Tuscan derbies will take place between Livorno and Fiorentina.

Derby della Toscana
Livorno Vs Fiorentina
Stadio:Armando Picchi

The game has never hosted quite the same intensity as other derbies around Italy nevertheless, it is still played with passion and a derby is never overlooked in Italy even if the rivalry isn't as strong as the others.

It does promise to be a good game, as struggling teams seem to lift their game against the bigger clubs and Livorno proved that against Inter, now they won't let it rest when they play derby favourites Fiorentina.

Roma Vs Inter
Stadio: Stadio Olimpico

This game isn't considered a derby as such, but it can due to the intense rivalries that have grown over the years between the two teams. Inter have managed to always finish above Roma, be it for the Scudetto or the Coppa Italia, they have always managed to outrun the Roman outfit until last season. Roma got revenge in the Coppa Italia beating Inter 7-3 on aggregate, the third consecutive Roma-Inter Coppa Italia final.

Roma again, went on for revenge as they beat Inter 1-0, at the San Siro, to win the SuperCoppa Italiana.

Roma and Inter are currently deadlocked on points at the top of the table and a win for either team will be a huge advantage as the race for the scudetto tightens. This game is bound to be an intense affair and the romanisti will certainly not let their team fall behind to Inter as they will make sure that the nerazzurri are met with a hostile atmosphere.

I think Toro might spring a surprise on Juve, who have been very hit or miss so far this season.

As for the Tuscan game, Fiorentina should be too good but they have a dreadful record at the Picchi.

And finally, let's just hope for goals galore at the Olimpico. 4-3 to Roma.

Yeah, La viola have always seemed to stumble at the Picchi but I think they can get the win.
