Inter runs riot while Osvaldo conquers Tuscany!

For Serie A fans this weekend was the weekend to watch with three exciting games available, and last night's two proved it with 8 goals between the two games.

The first game to kick off was the race to claim top of the table, Roma were hosting last season's scudetto winners, Inter. Roma seemed to have the game in control from kick off, until Captain Francesco Totti gave the ball away and the Inter defense broke through the Roman's forcing Doni to make a great save but keeping the ball still alive for the nerazzurri. Ibrahimovic headed the ball towards goal, where Guily jumped up and foolishly hand balled it, resulting in his getting sent off and Inter receiving a penalty. Ibrahimovic converted the penalty and Inter were well on their way.

The second half started and Roma found a break, even with 10 men on the field, and Simone Perrotta slotted the ball back home to bring them back into the game. However it didn't last long as ex-Lazio player, HernĂ¡n Crespo, brought Inter again into the lead minutes after the equaliser.

Cruz, a few minutes after Crespo's goal, shot the ball from outside the area to extend Inter's lead, decreasing Roma's chances of a miracle come back. While, Cordoba was the man to seal the game beyond any reach, as he headed it in to make it 4 and to prove that Inter are still in contention for the scudetto even when Juventus are back and their are no other teams on points penalties.

In Tuscany Livorno took on Fiorentina. The Firenze team were looking for a win to improve their poor record at the Armando Picchi and to claim second spot for at least a few hours. Mutu was rested and it proved the right decision as debutant Pablo Daniel Osvaldo stole the show for the Tuscan outfit.

The first goal of the game came at the brink of halftime as Osvaldo volleyed it home with his right foot, to add more pressure on Livorno Coach Nando Orsi, who is looking ever closer to being shown the door.

As is not surprising in a derby, emotions started to boil and it saw Massimo Liviso get sent off for continuously tugging and tripping Giampaolo Pazzini. With the granata down to 10 men, Osvaldo completed his brace as he chested down Santana's pass to slot it home past Amelia.

Fellow Argentinian, Santana also got on the score sheet as he made it 3-0, to lift la viola to second in the table. As La Viola get the boasting rights for this derby.
