Don's men do the job, as Italy go second.

Donadoni can finally smile after his Azzurri finally took home a vital 2-1 win against Ukraine. Italy were under a lot of pressure after their dismal display against the French in their own backyard at the San Siro stadium and they knew what was at stake for them.

Both goals were made in Milano and ended in Udine with Ambrosini winning the ball in midfield and passing it a to a free Pirlo who swung the ball into the box for Di Natale to header into the back of the net.

After the break Ukraine bounced back with Captain Andriy Shevchenko finding the back of the net to put it all level, and at this point in time Scotland were 1-0 up against France. It was all to play for.

But the score wouldn't remain level for long, as Ambrosini chipped the ball over the defense to see Di Natale break past the last defender as he ran towards the goal. The goalkeeper came out but unfortunately for him, he couldn't prevent Di Natale's beautiful shot to send him home with a brace and Italy home with a vital win.

Unfortunately Captain Cannavaro will miss the encounter against Georgia as he picked up a booking to see him suspended for that game. With Materazzi out, Nesta retired, Cananvaro suspended who will come in to replace Il Nostro Capitano? Bonera? Gamberini? Dainelli? Only Don knows...

The win leaves Italy second in the group with one point behind Scotland in first and one point ahead of France. It is a tough group and with 3 games left to play, and one vital game in Scotland, all three are MUST wins for the Italians.
